In an interview with Reviersport, Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has revealed that he is a big fan of Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

Mesut Ozil may not be everyone’s cup of tea but few can argue with the fact that the German international is one of the best playmakers in modern football.

The World Cup winner has enjoyed a wonderful career so far with the likes of Werder Bremen and Real Madrid, and the Arsenal attacker is currently one of the true superstars of the Premier League at the moment.

Ozil has turned into a bit of a goal machine for Arsenal during the current campaign, scoring 8 goals in all competitions already and the 28-year-old will be crucial to the Gunners’ aspirations in the English top flight as well as the Champions League this season.

Ozil’s abilities are understandably admired by his peers as well and now Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has gone on to shower the ex-Schalke man with high praise.

Speaking to Reviersport, Griezmann labeled Ozil an ‘outstanding’ player before going on to praise the Arsenal man’s ability with the ball at his feet.

The French international was quoted saying, "He's an outstanding player. I rate his style of play, his passing quality and also that he always finds a solution with a long ball or a dribbling. He's elegant with the ball.”

Ozil is arguably among the top five players in world football at the moment and in order to cement his place as one of the greats, the playmaker now needs to help Arsenal end their painfully long Premier League drought soon.
