According to reports from the Guardian, Liverpool will be looking to make a swoop for Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain during the January transfer window.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has not quite managed to fulfill his potential at Arsenal since joining from Southampton during the summer of 2011 as a talented young teenager and although the attacker is an important player for the Gunners, he has not been able to cement his place as a regular in the first team.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has performed well so far this season but he has been in and out of the team due to intense competition for places, and with his contract set to expire in 2018, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding his long term future at the Emirates Stadium.
A number of clubs are currently courting Oxlade-Chamberlain at the moment and now according to reports from the Guardian, Liverpool could prove to be a future destination for young attacking midfielder.
Liverpool are currently on the lookout for attacking reinforcements during the upcoming January transfer window as they will be without star man Sadio Mane during January due to the African Cup of Nations and claims have been made that the Reds have viewed Oxlade-Chamberlain as a possible replacement.
Arsenal may be open to selling Oxlade-Chamberlain for right price as they have not shown too much interest in extending his deal and the report state that Liverpool could well be able to sign the former Southampton man for a bid of around £20-25 million.
