Marco Reus and Christian Pulisic being targeted by Arsenal
Arsenal are currently sweating over the possibility of losing both star men Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil next summer after failing to reach agreements over contract extensions for the star duo and although the Gunners are still doing their best to come to agreeable terms, they also seem to be preparing for the worst case scenario.
According to reports from the Sun, claims have been made that Arsenal will be making moves for Borussia Dortmund stars Marco Reus and Christian Pulisic next summer in the event that they lose the services of both Sanchez and Ozil.
Pulisic not keen on a move to the Premier League at the moment
Christian Pulisic has earned a reputation as one of the finest young talents plying their trade in Europe at the moment and a host of top clubs have unsurprisingly been impressed by the Borussia Dortmund teenager.
The Premier League duo of Arsenal and Liverpool have both reportedly expressed their interest in signing Pulisic but the young attacker has recently gone on to state that he is not keen on a move away from Dortmund anytime soon.
When asked about his future in a live chat on US Soccer's Facebook page, he said: "I think with soccer, you never really know what's going to happen in your career — that's the beauty of it. But right now, I'm with Dortmund and very happy. I'm earning my spot and working hard for that team."
Arsene Wenger praises Feyenoord defender
Arsenal are expected to be making a move for a new right-back during the upcoming January transfer window as Mathieu Debuchy and Carl Jenkinson are both expected to be leaving the Emirates Stadium this winter.
Feyenoord star Rick Karsdrop has been mentioned as a potential target for Arsenal in the media but manager Arsene Wenger has dismissed any possibility of making a move for the Dutch international despite praising his abilities.
The French manager replied to reporters when asked about a potential swoop for Karsdrop, "No, at present we are not looking for defenders. Your information is not quite right. Do I know who Rick Karsdorp is? Yes, he is definitely a good player, but we now find ourselves not on the transfer market. We are more focused on winning the next game."
