Wilshere’s future at Arsenal in serious doubt

Jack Wilshere made a shock move from Arsenal to Bournemouth on a season long loan deal over the summer and the England international has since dropped huge hints that he could potentially leave the Emirates Stadium on a permanent basis.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refuted Wilshere’s claims though and the club have made it clear under no uncertain terms that they would like to keep hold of the services of the 25-year-old beyond the end of the current campaign.

However, the Daily Star have now gone on to report that Arsenal have not yet begun talks of a contract extension with Wilshere despite their intention to keep hold of the midfielder and there is now a strong possibility that the England international will leave the Gunners at the end of the season, with the likes of Manchester City and Milan interested.

Arsenal tie down French trio to new deals

Following much speculation, Arsenal have managed to tie down the trio of Francis Coquelin, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud to brand new deals at the Emirates Stadium.

Coquelin, 25, is reported to have extended his stay at Arsenal till 2021 while the veteran duo of Koscielny, 31, and Giroud, 30, have penned contracts keeping them at North London until 2020.

Upon the completion of the triple deal, Wenger told Arsenal’s official website, “We are very pleased that three important members of our team have committed to us for the long term. Francis has made tremendous technical strides over the past few years because he’s so focused every day.

"Olivier has big experience in the game now and has become a more and more complete player since joining us. Laurent is of course a key part of our squad and I believe one of the best defenders in the world today. So overall, this is great news for us.”
