Ozil insists he is happy at Arsenal

Mesut Ozil and Arsenal have been involved in a contractual deadlock for quite a while now and many believe that the German international may well look to depart from the Emirates Stadium if his wage demands are not met by the Gunners.

Despite all the speculation surrounding his future though, Ozil has gone on to speak about his happiness at Arsenal and has stated that he is very comfortable living in London at the moment.

The 28-year-old was quoted saying by the Daily Mirror, "I've simply arrived in the Premier League since last season. I've remained injury-free for the most part and I feel very comfortable in London now as well.

"I've changed a few things in my life this past year, for example my diet and my training. That helps me to regenerate fast after games and it reduces the chance of getting injured."

Wright hoping that frustrated Sanchez stays put

There is clearly something bothering Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez at the moment and he has publicly shown his frustrations on the pitch during the Gunners’ Premier League encounters against Bournemouth and Swansea City over the past few days.

Sanchez was surprisingly not pleased after being taken off during Arsenal’s 4-0 victory over Swansea during the weekend despite the game already being won and now Gunners’ legend Ian Wright is hopeful that the Chilean international’s agents do not use his current unhappiness to force a move away from the Emirates.

Wright told Match of the Day, "You can see his face. He is disappointed, he doesn't want to get taken off, especially when you've got all this contract talk going on.

"He is so integral to Arsenal. If he was gone, if he's not there, there's a massive problem. He just doesn't want to get taken off, he just wants to continuously play. I hope his representatives aren't using it as an excuse to get out the club."

Arsenal in a battle with Manchester United to sign Kostas Manolas

Roma defender Kostas Manolas has emerged as one of the finest defenders in Europe over the past few years and the Greek international is currently being courted by a host of top clubs, with Manchester United said to be very keen in particular.

Now in reports from Italian outlet Corriere della Sera, revelations can be made that Monalos is also being eyed up by Arsenal at the moment and the Gunners are hopeful of signing the 25-year-old £50 million-rated defender next summer.
