Arsenal trio in danger of leaving

While the contractual deadlock between Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil has been dominating all the headlines, a number of other Gunners’ first team members are also soon entering the final year of their respective deals at the Emirates Stadium and the trio of Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are among them.

Now according to reports from the London Evening Standard, revelations can be made that Arsenal have not yet begun talks with Wilshere, Gibbs and Oxlade-Chamberlain over new contracts and there is a strong possibility that the trio might leave, especially as the North London side have already secured the future of other first team players such as Olivier Giroud, Francis Coquelin, Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.

Koscielny lavishes Wenger with praise

Arsene Wenger has come under a lot of criticism in recent times due to the fact that Arsenal have gone through a barren spell in the Premier League for more than a decade.

While the media and fans may turn against Wenger, there is no denying the fact that the experienced Frenchman shares a very strong relationship with his players and now defender Laurent Koscielny has gone on to hail his manager.

Koscielny stated that Wenger helps his players become men and added that everyone involved with Arsenal is fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from him.

“You may say that we haven’t won the title for a long time, but he has not just built players, he’s built men too,” Koscielny told Arsenal Player.

“Every player who has played for Arsenal has grown here and has become a man. It’s a big number [of players]. For me and the others, it’s a good opportunity to be with him and learn from him.

“He’s passionate about football. He loves football and he loves to watch his team play well with the ball. That’s why he’s here again after 20 years.”

Arsenal youngster thriving in the Netherlands

Arsenal’s signing of Kelechi Nwakali may have largely flown under the radar this summer, especially as the Gunners brought in high profile name such as Shkodran Mustafi, Granit Xhaka and Lucas Perez but the young Nigerian is most certainly very highly rated by the Gunners.

Nwakali was sent out on loan to Dutch outfit Maastricht over the summer and the 18-year-old has been impressing since making a move to the Netherlands.

He scored an outrageous goal against De Graafschap last month and now he would surely have caught the eye of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger following a brilliant performance during his side’s 2-0 victory over Helmond during the weekend.
