Arsenal preparing whopping £51 million move for attacker

Due to the fact that Alexis Sanchez has not yet committed himself to Arsenal by signing a new contract, there is widespread fear among the Gunners’ faithful that the Chilean international will be leaving the Emirates Stadium next summer.

If indeed Sanchez does leave, it would be a huge blow for Arsenal and many reports have claimed that the North London giants have already laid out contingency plans if such an event comes into fruition.

Now according to reports from Who Scored, revelations can be made that Arsenal have identified Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus as the ideal replacement for Sanchez and will look to launch a whopping bid of around £51 million in an attempt to sign the German international at the end of the current campaign.

Calum Chambers suffers injury blow

Calum Chambers joined Middlesbrough from Arsenal on a season long loan deal this summer and the young defender has been making good progress at the Riverside Stadium, having appeared in 18 matches so far.

As a huge setback though, Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has revealed that Chambers has picked up a stress fracture on his foot and is now likely to be ruled out of action for the next couple of weeks as a result.

Karanka said, “It’s a stress fracture in his foot. I don’t know how long he will be out because sometimes you think it’s going to be one or two weeks and maybe it’s three or four. I don’t know. At the moment, he’s trying to be fit as soon as possible.”
