Perez wants to leave Arsenal
Arsenal secured the services of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna late into the summer transfer window and despite his credentials, the Spaniard has not had a fair chance to establish himself as a regular for the Gunners’ first team this season.
Although Perez has impressed whenever he has played, the 28-year-old has not been handed a consistent run of games by manager Arsene Wenger and now the player’s agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle has made an admission that the striker wants to leave the Emirates Stadium in search of regular first team football next season.
Lovelle told Calciomercato, "The matter is that Lucas want to leave at all costs and is not happy at Arsenal. He hasn't settled and hasn't had the chance to play and show what he can do. No matter who will be the coach, we want to go. The player must have an opportunity to play."
Wenger said: “Yes, he is pushing on the door but I have many strikers,”
“I have Giroud, Welbeck, Walcott, Alexis and Lucas
“It is true that he deserves a go because he scores goals and is a good player.”
Keown and Shearer impressed with Perez
Lucas Perez was handed a rare start during Arsenal’s FA Cup 5th round encounter against Sutton United and the attacker managed to impress on the night, finding the back of the net with a fine finish on the 26th minute of the clash.
Arsenal went on to win 2-0 at the end and following the game, pundits Martin Keown and Alan Shearer were full of praise for Perez.
Keown said, "We said before the game that he's played in the Champions League. It was his only real start recently and he scored three goals that day (against Basel in December). It was a wonderful finish from him."
Shearer added, “This is a very, very good finish. He did what you should do. Aim for that far post and then if anyone gets a touch on it then fine, but if you get it just inside that post then you've got half a chance of it going in.”
Arsenal to open talks to sign Lorenzo Insigne
Lorenzo Insigne has been on Arsenal’s radar for quite a while now and the Italian international must surely have impressed the Gunners’ hierarchy even more this term, scoring eight goals as well as providing six assists for Napoli.
Now according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, revelations can be made that Arsenal are set to make a move for Insigne and are hoping to open talks with Napoli over the potential signing of the 25-year-old attacker.

Walcott reaches landmark 100 goals in Sutton victory
Arsenal navigated the 5th Round FA Cup encounter against minnows Sutton United on Monday night with relative ease by claiming a 2-0 victory and the goalscorers during the encounter for the Gunners were Lucas Perez and Theo Walcott.
The match was in particular of great significance for Walcott, who was also stand-in captain, as his second strike meant that the 27-year-old has reached a landmark 100 goals for Arsenal and the attacker becomes only the 18th player in the history of the club to do so.
