Milan keen on signing ‘unhappy’ Perez

Arsenal splashed around £18 million to secure the services of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna during the summer and it has to be said that the Spaniard has made a good impression whenever he has had the chance to feature for the Gunners.

However, Perez has been limited to only two starts in the Premier League since his arrival and the lack of regular minutes on the pitch is said to have left the 28-year-old frustrated.

There is now a strong possibility that Perez might end up leaving Arsenal at the end of the season after only a solitary year at the club and the Daily Mirror have reported that Italian giants AC Milan are interested in a swoop for the attacker.

Cech defends Alexis Sanchez

It is clear to see that Alexis Sanchez is not entirely happy at Arsenal and the Chilean international’s attitude has come under question in recent times, after reports of a bust-up in training had emerged in the English press.

In addition, Sanchez has been widely criticized for laughing on the bench when Arsenal were down 5-1 against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Round of 16 Champions League encounter at the Emirates Stadium last week.

Amid all the negative press surrounding Sanchez at the moment, goalkeeper Petr Cech has gone on to defend the Chilean international and has stated that the media have blown his ‘laughing’ antics, during the game with Bayern, out of proportion.

The goalkeeper said, "It is sad and he was as sad as I have seen him. Unfortunately when you say the sentence, 'had we scored the second goal everything could look different' and then you do 'ooph' [exhale] you know, but in the end the reality is you are 5-1 down and somebody twists it and says you are laughing on the bench.

"I found it very disrespectful to the player. But obviously you can take the picture and you can interpret it the way you want unfortunately. But we the players, we know exactly what he said and we know how he was hurting and he was as disappointed as anybody else. It is unfortunate and disappointing."

Wilshere not thinking about Arsenal

Jack Wilshere made a shock loan move to Bournemouth over the summer and there are major concerns among the fans that the midfielder will leave Arsenal permanently next season as he enters the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have made it clear that they want to extend Wilshere’s stay at the club but the midfielder has insisted that he is not even thinking about signing a new deal with the Gunners at the moment due to his involvement in Bournemouth’s relegation battle.

The England international told the Daily Mail, “I'm not thinking about it. I've got a year left at Arsenal. As soon as the season ends, I'll sit down and I'll think about it. But my main concern at the moment is trying to keep Bournemouth in this league.

“No matter what happens next year – if I'm here, if I'm not, if I'm at Arsenal, whatever – you know no-one wants a relegation next to their name.

“You don't want to be involved in a team that got relegated so that's what we' re doing now, trying to put Bournemouth in a good position. At the end of the season I'll have a think about it.”
