Arsenal eye a move for Kasper Schmeichel
Petr Cech is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers to have graced the Premier League but it has to be said that the veteran custodian has not been at his supreme best during the current campaign for Arsenal.
Cech has made numerous uncharacteristic errors throughout the course of the season and it is believed that Arsenal could look to find a replacement of the 34-year-old, who is clearly regressing at the moment, next season.
Now in reports from the Daily Mirror, revelations have been made that Arsenal are considering a shock move for Leicester City star Kasper Schmeichel. Schmeichel played a key role in helping Leicester win the title last season and he has continued his fine form during the current campaign as well, despite the Foxes’ struggles.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be an admirer of Schmeichel and there have been suggestions that the Frenchman could make a swoop for the 30-year-old if he stays put at the Emirates Stadium next season.
Giroud, Koscielny and Xhaka enjoy international success
Arsenal’s fortunes on the pitch may be woeful at the moment but the Gunners’ stars seem to be enjoying success at international level as Olivier Giroud (France), Laurent Koscielny (France) and Granit Xhaka (Switzerland), all claimed victories in their respective games for the national team.
Giroud and Koscielny helped France to a 3-1 victory over Luxembourg, with the former scoring twice while Xhaka played the entirety of the 90 minutes during Switzerland’s 1-0 triumph over Latvia.
Wilshere wants to join AC Milan
The long term future of Jack Wilshere at Arsenal is currently in doubt due to the fact that the on-loan Bournemouth midfielder has not yet signed an extension to his contract with the Gunners and now the Daily Mail have claimed that the 25-year-old is eyeing up a permanent exit from the Emirates Stadium next season.
The report states that Wilshere is keen on a move to AC Milan, who showed interest in his services at the start of the season, and that the England international is eyeing up the move to the San Siro on the recommendation of Manchester United legend David Beckham.
