It really is the last week of the transfer window. A large number of rumours regarding Arsenal’s  transfer targets have popped up over the course of today, a few of them true, a few rather less so.

Hello Cabaye?

The Daily Mail claimed Arsenal had made enquiries to Newcastle regarding Cheick Tiote and Yohan Cabaye. This is a story with some substance to it, as Arsenal enquired regarding Cabaye and Ben Arfa six weeks ago. They were rebuffed at the time, but that was mainly regarding Ben Arfa.

A bid of around 15-20m could secure Cabaye, but it’s unclear whether Arsenal would want him, being a deep-lying playmaker similar to Arteta. It’s also worth pointing out that the enquiry was made before Cazorla was signed.

I hate to disappoint you

This morning I told you that Arsenal’s chief negotiator was in Germany at the moment, according to reports. Now, this immediately set a lot of readers of into a frenzy of speculation as to who Arsenal were interested in.

A name I saw a lot was Dortmund’s Mario Gotze. Arsenal were desperate to sign him last summer, and saw a deadline-day bid of 25 million turned down. He’s not signing this summer. He repeatedly spoke out about his desire to remain at Dortmund for the time being, and he’s rejected the advances of Manchester United and other big clubs in Europe. What’s more, he extended his contract at Dortmund recently, until 2017.

Nothing doing.

Chavs want Mbiwa

Chelsea had a scout at Montpelier’s game last night, to watch Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, who Arsenal are seriously attempting to sign. To be honest, it’s probably just usual scouting, a lot of teams do it. Chelsea have enormous depth in defence, and with FFP coming into play, as well as with squad restrictions, it’s hard to see any need to sign him. Don’t panic. Yet.

Mr. Wenger is unpredicable, please buy for us Neymar or Falcao, then free the following players to reduce on wages.
1. Abou the useless
2. Ramsey the wasteful
3. Bendtner the best striker in the world after 10 years
4. Djourou the Mr. blunder
6. Arshavin the one who never learn

There combined wages is more than enough to pay both Falcao and Neymar.
Note. After 2 seasons Arsenal can sell those players at triple their purchase cost

Sure thing. Neymar and Falcao are done deals. thanks for pointing us the direction - arsenal board.

i love arsenal but seriously **** this bull**** going on at the club! why are we not making any more signings and spending the money we have. we should have taking sahin, even if he has to go back at the end of the season, we need long term and short term goals too. We need to win silverwares and sahin could have contributed.Wenger is always claiming to be working for the future of the club but the present has not been good for so long and the so-called future is not in sight. We should have bought loriente and takin sahin as well as m'villa. Arsenal needs to spend money so we can win stuff

Ok . stop it please. Quit behaving like a baby whose toy has been taken away.

Wenger and the Board are not going to buy anymore players this season!!!!!!!! They are just insulting our intelligence, they know the fans are loyal to the end so they will do whatever they want. We need to start a petition and have the fans force a change. The definition of insanity is doin the same thing over and over and expecting a different result...Hellooooooooo!

Pipe down kiddo. Leave the business end of the transfer window to the pros at arsenal.

I don't think that M'vila will be brought in, I think Wenger might bring in a RB or a new striker, I hope anyway, I think we have enough in MF,

Capoue and M'vila are the two players needed. Wenger go for them
