Theo Walcott has revealed that he won’t set a timescale to renew his contract at Arsenal, with his current deal running out in the summer.

With his contract up in the summer, it has left Arsenal fans worrying that they could yet again lose one of their key talents, due to contracts not being renewed.

Patience

Theo has asked Gunners fans for patience as they grow ever more desperate for him to sign a new contract, and put an end to any rumours there are surrounding the player moving to new clubs.

Though the player himself has not given any indications that he is planning to leave the club any time soon, saying "It's important for me that something gets sorted out, because I enjoy playing for this club”.

Move away?

With Liverpool rumoured to be lingering around for Walcott, there have been reports that Arsenal are fed up with Walcott’s refusal to commit to the club and have reportedly offered the player plus £8million in exchange for Liverpool star-kid Raheem Sterling.

However, Arsene Wenger has assured fans that the winger will not be sold in January even if it means losing him on a free in the summer.

With the England international having already rejected a reported £75,000 per week contract, fans can only hope that the board cough up and the issue is swiftly resolved, so that we don’t lose another star player to a rival.
