According to DailyMail Arsenal are interested in bringing in Manchester United's Nani, who has been frozen out recently over a contract dispute (sound familiar?).
The Portuguese international has been on and off for United over the years, but it's suggested he's be an improvement over Gervinho, which is true.
Looks can be deceiving
After this story was published a set of pictures surfaced of Nani visiting a training ground, supposedly that of Arsenal's. He appeared to be signing autographs for children. But what was he doing there? Isn't it illegal for a player under contract to visit a training ground to discuss a move outside the transfer window?
Yes, yes it is. And Nani wasn't even at Colney.
He was visiting the Watford training ground, which is very close to Colney, because his girlfriend's son plays for their U-10 team, so he thought he'd go and watch him play.
Simple as.
Unlikely
Anyway, Nani is on 80k per week at United and wants 100k, which is why he almost moved to Zenit St Petersburg in the summer.
With Arsenal's highest earner on around 90k per week and one inconsistent winger already being refused that kind of money, why would Arsenal suddenly change that?
Especially ridiculous is the idea United would sell to a rival.
I mean, they're not Arsenal.
