Well, at least it's not Barcelona.
Arsenal were in the second-placed pot for today's Champions League knockout draw, meaning they risked facing the cream of Europe, such as Barcelona and Dortmund.
Naturally, they were then drawn against the cream of Europe, last season's runners-up Bayern Munich.
Dream tie
We may moan and groan about a tough draw, but this is what the Champions League is all about. Of course the two games will be tough, against a Bayern side running away with the Bundesliga, and boasting the likes of Franck Ribery and Bastian Schweinsteiger in their ranks.
The first match will be played at the Emirates, with the return leg played two weeks later in the Allianz Arena. There's no guarantee we'll get anything out of either, but they both should be fantastic games, and as the underdog anything we do get will be a bonus.
Revenge and weakness
Arsenal do have some relation to Bayern-Lukas Podolski spent an unhappy three years there. He wasn't on the best terms when he left, so he should be out to remind them what they're missing. He won't have too difficult a time of things either: Bayern are missing Badstuber at centre-back so midfielder Javi Martinez may well fill in. At right-back Rafinha is nothing special. If Arsenal can neutralise the attacking threat of the Germans they might just have a chance.
Even if you give us no chance at all, spare a thought for Manchester United. They've drawn Real Madrid.
