With Chamakh now gone to West Ham on loan, and Djourou and Squillaci expected also the leave the club, it is unlikely that the latter two will be included in the squad.

Frimpong has returned from his loan spell at Charlton, however, both he and Manone are ill and so unlikely to make it.

Diaby and Andre Santos are both back training, but neither are match fit yet. Other than that, there are no new injury concerns.

Swansea have got the first leg of their Capital One Cup Semi-Final next week, and so Michael Laudrup may be inclined to rest some of his key players. Their key players such as Michu, Britton and Chico are all fit, while Pablo Hernandez who missed Swansea’s victory at the Emirates is fit again.

Tactics

Swansea play an attacking, stylish brand of football similar to what Arsenal occasionally play. They like to play quickly down the wings, utilising the pace of Dyer, Hernandez and Routledge, and either cross the ball into Graham or cut it back to top scorer Michu.

In the centre of the pitch they have Ki Sung-Yeung and former Arsenal trainee Leon Britton who are two reliable distributors of the ball.

Arsenal may find it hard to play their passing possession based game against Swansea, as they are a side who like to control possession as they showed in their victory at the Emirates.

Arsenal will have to be defensively astute when dealing with Michu, and make sure the chances they create count.

Key Players

Michu – their top goal scorer this season with 13 goals already, including a brace against Arsenal. Always a danger when he plays, whether in the area or lurking on the edge of the box. We must deal with him, as he is their biggest threat.

Chico Flores – after a shaky start to life in the Premier league, Chico has found his feet and proving himself to be a very good defender. Kept Arsenal quiet at the Emirates, could do the same again this weekend.

Bacary Sagna – has been playing very poor recently, in arguably the worst form of his Arsenal career, and now coming up against good wingers, he will have to be on top of his game.

Jack Wilshere – Swansea play very nice passing football, so it will be up to Wilshere and Arteta to get in the faces of Britton and Ki and put them under pressure, to try and stop them playing.
