With both the Gunners and Chelsea performing below expectations in the league this season, both sides will be looking for a win at the Bridge tomorrow.

Homesick…

One worry Chelsea fans might have ahead of tomorrow’s game is that since Benitez took over, their home form has been less than impressive.  Since The Blues’ remarkable 8-0 victory over Villa last year, they have been unable to win a home game.

Arsenal have failed to win in two Premier League games since the 7-3 demolition of Newcastle.  However, unlike Chelsea, we did manage to win our mid week game showing some promising signs of a faster brand of football returning to the club.

Key Men

For many, Jack Wilshere’s performance on Wednesday night was one of the best individual performances of the season.  We rely on Jack to a huge degree and if we want to get something out of the game tomorrow he will certainly have to play up to a similar quality.

Our other key man will certainly be Theo.  His new deal making him the best-paid player at the club does not come without the heavy weight of expectation.  In contrast to Jack, Theo’s performance in the week was questionable.  After such a ludicrous contract, fans will be reluctant to forgive if he doesn’t start putting a run of good games together.

Chelsea also have two players whose role could decide tomorrows result.  Demba Ba has made a highly impressive start to his Chelsea career and he will want to make a mark against a big club to really get into the supporters good books.  He was a scorer in the 7-3 game against Newcastle, so he knows how to put it in the Arsenal net.

Another key player for Chelsea is John Terry.  Although Terry is still suffering from a knock, rumours suggest he could be rushed back in time for tomorrow’s game.  The inclusion of Terry is really important for Chelsea.  If he does indeed play and isn’t fully fit, it will be interesting whom it will favour.

It’s all about pace

One thing that struck me about Arsenal on Wednesday was the pace at which we played.  It was a much quicker tempo than we have played at recently and I believe it suits the team much better.

Likely line-up

Arsene will have a tricky decision to make regarding his midfield tomorrow.  If it were up to me I would play the exact same team that played Swansea.  However, this means the exclusion of Podolski, who is certainly one of our better players.

However, I think Podolski might have to wait to edge his way back into the side and I hope the team tomorrow will be as follows;

Szczesny, Gibbs, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Sagna, Cazorla, Wilshere, Diaby, Coquelin, Walcott, Giroud
