The match today saw Arsenal get to their second consecutive FA Cup final after Alexis delivers the goods with two goals however, it was a poor performance.

Szczęsny - 6 – Should have saved the Reading goal but let it in, dealt with the rest quite comfortably and looked controlled while punching the ball clear.

Debuchy - 6 – Didn’t offer much going forward but played well considering he’s been out with an injury.

Mertesacker - 6 – Defended well but looked shaky with Mackie always chasing the ball down.

Koscielny - 7 – Defended really well and was solid for the whole game.

Gibbs - 6 – Gibbs final ball was poor and gave the ball away often which led to Reading often countering.

Coquelin - 6 – Defended well but was often slow in releasing the ball which meant that the tempo was slow.

Cazorla - 7 – A good game by Cazorla often playing simple passes but again never really picked up the tempo.

Ӧzil - 7 – A very good first half provided the assist for the opening goal but dropped off in the second half.

Ramsey - 6 – Not the greatest performance by Ramsey mainly because he was played on the wing and missed the presence of Bellerin on the outside. Also, missed a chance in normal time to win the game.

Sanchez - 8 – Worked hard off the ball like usual and grabbed both of the goals showing his quality once again.

Welbeck - 6 – Welbeck was quiet for most of the time he was on the pitch but did look dangerous behind Reading’s back line.

Subs

Gabriel - 7 – Came on for Mertesacker who picked up an injury and defended well. Made an important tackle in extra time when it was 1-1

Giroud - 7 – Changed the game when he came on and instantly made an impact. He held up the play well and got Arsenals midfielders involved.

Walcott - N/A – Didn’t have much time to influence the game.

Overall a good win after a poor performance and that’s all matter. Arsenal will now play either Liverpool or Aston Villa in the final at Wembley
