Arsenal end the week in style after an outstanding display at an inform Leicester. The score line may be emphatic but this was a much closer affair than that suggests. A hat trick for Alexis Sanchez was the major headline but Walcott and Giroud also chipped in. Arsenal went 1-0 down when Vardy scored early on but an excellent pass form Cazorla was finished by Walcott who was outstanding all afternoon. Sanchez then scored a tap in, a header and a long range effort. Vardy then scored again before Giroud scored a clinical finish.

Cech – 8 - An excellent performance by Petr Cech who made some excellent saves. Cech’s performance will go under the radar but made some crucial saves which kept Arsenal in the game at times.

Bellerin – 7 – A solid display at right back once again showing his attacking threat. Defensively good but needed to close down the cross more than he did.

Mertesacker – 7 – Mertesacker was good on his return to the starting line-up often defending well when the ball was crossed in.

Koscielny – 7 – Defended well and looked assured coming out with the ball.

Monreal – 8 – Monreal played well defensively and contributed with a couple of assists.

Flamini – N/A – Went off in the 21st minute with an injury.

Cazorla – 7 – A good performance by Cazorla who had a shot cleared off the line early on. Cazorla managed to get an assist after a wonderful through ball was played to Walcott for Arsenal’s first goal.

Ramsey – 7 – Ramsey did okay and contributed well. Made the Leicester keeper work on occasions and passed the ball well.

Ӧzil – 7 – A wonderful assist for the Sanchez’s 2nd goal must be appreciated after getting more involved in the second half. Had a shot saved late on by the keeper.

Sanchez – 9 –The highlight of the game was his hat trick but he also linked up well with Walcott which caused Leicester problems all afternoon.

Walcott – 8 – An excellent game from Walcott who’s pace and movement troubled Leicester all afternoon. He took his goal well which was key as Arsenal were under pressure at that point in the game.

Arteta – 7 – An assured performance by the Arsenal captain who replaced the injured Flamini.

Oxlade – Chamberlain – N/A – Didn’t have much time to influence the game.

Giroud – 7 – Didn’t have long to make his mark but grabbed a goal which take his tally to three this season.

Overall, an excellent away win at a difficult place. Leicester will be disappointed not to get something but Arsenal’s attacking play was far superior. With Manchester City losing back to back games Arsenal now move closer to the top two.
