A late header from Giroud saw Arsenal steal a point after an abysmal display. After a tepid first half Mata gave United the lead before an Oxlade-Chamberlain cross found Giroud to head home. The display was poor from Arsenal throughout with the whole team not performing.

Cech – 7 – Cech played well throughout the game and made two crucial saves in the first half.

Jenkinson – 6 – Jenkinson made his first league start of the season and played okay. Was shaky defensively and didn’t really get chance to go forward.

Mustafi – 7 – Played well defensively showing what a useful addition he has been to this team.

Koscielny – 7 – A good defensive performance alongside Mustafi.

Monreal – 5 – Had an awful game and was run ragged by Valencia.  He was lucky not to concede a penalty in the first half.

Elneny – 6 – Works hard in the centre of the park but not enough offered going forward.

Coquelin – 7 – Had a good game and made some crucial tackles. Was one of the only players to show some passion.

Walcott – 6 - A fairly quiet game and never really got into the match.

Ӧzil – 6 – Wasn’t involved in the game but he wasn’t helped by Sanchez who continually kept dropping deep.

Ramsey – 6 – Ramsey started on the left hand side and was poor. He kept giving the ball away and needs to sort out his first touch.

Sanchez – 6 – Was trying to get involved but didn’t look fit after the injury. Needs to try and stay up the pitch.

Subs

Giroud – 7 – Scored the equaliser to get a crucial point.

Xhaka – 6 – Didn’t really influence the match.

Oxlade – Chamberlain – 7 – Came on at right back and delivered the cross for the goal.

Overall, in the end it will go down as a great point but it was a poor performance. Arsenal need to wake up and be more ambitious or the league title will slip away. However, a point away at Manchester United is a good point and Arsenal remain unbeaten in the league since Liverpool.
