Arsenal take all three points and move up to third in the table. However, the game will be remembered for a long time due to the opener scored by Giroud. A wonderful scorpion flick finish may go down as one of Arsenals best ever goals. Iwobi then scored a nice header in the second half to make it a comfortable afternoon. 

Cech – 7 – Made some good saves in the second half and deserved his clean sheet.

Bellerin – 7 – Was one of the danger men all afternoon due to his impressive attacking play.

Gabriel – 7 – Solid throughout and looked comfortable against Benteke.

Koscielny – 7 – Had a good game which contributes to Arsenals good defensive displays.

Monreal – 7 – One of his better games this season and looked like he is returning to his best.

Elneny – 7 – Had a very good game in the midfield and provides legs which contributes to the team defensively.

Xhaka – 7 – Passes the ball extremely well and makes sure Arsenal go forward.

Perez – 7 – Worked hard for the team offensively and defensively.  Perez made the crucial interception to start the move for the opening goal.

Iwobi – 7 – Played well in the number 10 role and grabbed his second league goal of the season.

Sanchez – 7 – Played on the left wing and worked hard all match. Looked determined to score but didn’t manage to find the back of the net.

Giroud – 8 – Scored a fabulous goal and will be remembered.

Subs

Ramsey – 6 – Didn’t make much of an impact.

Coquelin – 6 – Didn’t make much of an impact.

Oxlade – Chamberlain – 6 - Didn’t make much of an impact.

Overall, a good three points in another must win game.  Arsenal now must win their next game away at Bournemouth which is on Tuesday. Arsenal looked good defensively and will improve when Mustafi regains his place. Perez looked like he could play a key role with a run of games.
