Nice win for the Gunners tonight.  Like the Arsenal of old we made tonnes of chances but didn’t convert as many as we might have liked.  Still, a good win, making Swansea look rather average.

Wojciech Szczesny- 7- Only really had one chance he could do anything about.  Second half shot was parried to safety, no complaints.

Bacary Sagna- 7- A bit of a quiet first half but picked up a lot in the second.  A couple of great lofted crosses added to the barrage of the Swansea goal.

Per Mertesacker- 6- Very little to do for Per tonight.  No real mistakes and no major contributions, solid game.

Thomas Vermaelen- 6- As with Per, Thomas had very little to do tonight.  However he made a couple of key last ditch tackles in the first half, albeit due to mistakes made by him.  Also, marking from a couple of corners could come under scrutiny.

Kieran Gibbs- 8- Little to do defensively but everything he did do looked calm and under control.  It was his attacking prowess that really impressed me tonight, the majority of our play came down the left flank and Kieran really caused Swansea problems.

Abou Diaby- 7- Great to see Diaby back in the side and making an impact.  Abou started very strongly and got quieter and quieter until his eventual substitution.  This can only be be expected after such a long injury.

Francis Coquelin- 7- Coquelin showed tonight why he deserves to be part of the Arsenal midfield.  Although his performance wasn’t as notable as some others, he had a solid game.  Francis made some key challenges as well as some cutting runs and passes.

Theo Walcott- 6- Theo is a very lucky boy this evening.  He certainly contributed a lot to the attack tonight and this gains him credit.  However, if we had lost, people would only remember the handfuls of bad misses and abysmal corners.

Jack Wilshere- 9- What can I say?  Jack is unplayable at the moment and would have gained my man of the match comfortably without his superb strike.  Clearly our best player.

Santi Cazorla- 7- Not his best game but still made a massive impact in the Arsenal attack.  His superb ability with both feet terrorises opponents and he made some key passes throughout the match.

Olivier Giroud- 7- Although some might remember his array of unconverted chances, which can’t be overlooked, I though Olivier had a good game.  He played some good balls and got into good areas.  His assist for Jack’s goal topped off a successful night for Giroud.

Overall a good night for the whole team, Wenger should play the same team against Chelsea at the weekend.

Wilshere was sublime and on another day, we could have beat this team 3 or 4 nil.
