MAJOR UPDATE HERE: --> LATEST NEWS on Draxler to Arsenal

Yesterday we brought you the news that Julian Draxler was undergoing medical tests to confirm when he will be fit to play again and fortunately it was good news as he’ll be able to resume playing in seven days time.

Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt conducted the Mesut Özil medical before he signed in the summer and now that he has essentially given Draxler the all clear, we seem to be even closer to seeing Draxler in an Arsenal shirt.

No problem with medical

Initial fears believed the German youngster may be out until March with his ruptured tendon but now that he has been presumed nearly fit, it will likely see Arsene Wenger push this deal through before the January transfer window slams shut.

The Daily Telegraph also state that we have agreed a fee with Schalke over the 21-year-old, according to their sources in Germany.

Fee agreed

The fee in question is £36 million, this despite reports recently suggesting Arsenal didn’t want to pay over £30 million, however it would be in installments.

That is the sticking point at the moment; arranging the scheduled payments and how much would be paid up front to Schalke.

One positive is that personal terms will certainly not be a problem. Arsenal will increase Draxler’s wages from £50,000 a week to £80,000.

Super Fab part of the deal

Another option for the Gunners is to offer Schalke Łukasz Fabiański as part of the deal as the Polish keeper’s contract runs out in the summer and the German side had been targeting his signature when his deal expires in July.

With just over one day left it seems like this transfer will go down to the wire but we can at least rest assured that the medical won’t be a problem.

Now we just wait to see what happens with this transfer. Draxler’s versatility could see him cover the forward position, in addition to central midfield.

And it is a signing Wenger and Arsenal need, for the second consecutive transfer window can we secure the signing of another talented German.

I wondered where all the Arsenal haters had disappeared to. Even if we sign no one we still have a good team.We will win are next match with or without a new signing and the unused and injured players will return. This half of the season belongs to other players.

Quoting Me:
What are complete load of utter CRAP - Wenger once again sat on his hands and did NOTHING and now we are about to sign a zero nobody from the Russian League called Kim Kallstrom on loan to cover the injury to Ramsey. It should have been Ozil out injured and not Ramsey. Ozil is an over rated, hugely over priced donkey whereas Ramsey gave us an edge going forwards...
what a load of rubbish you dont become the most assisted player 5yrs in a row across 5 leagues if your an overrated donkey bro

It seems that one of Mr Wenger's hobby is keeping we Arsenal Supporters in suspense when it comes to sign a top class player. I am an old man man at 82 years an Arsenal supporter since 1946. I am happy that my heart has not given its ghost up after Monday's last match. Hopefully Chelsea would do us a favour against Man City.

With wenger, one can never be sure. I put it at 50%. He makes it so difficult to buy a player yet other clubs just keep monitoring whoever he goes for they take them. He knows how to identify good players but he's always the last to decide to buy. He over balances between money and need for the player. Very shrewd man!

I am working in Germany and there is no news confirming any Arsenal deal. There is no mention of a possible Draxler move to Arsenal. I hope that I am wrong but I can't see it happening
+1 #3 ISAAC OYANGO 2014-01-30 16:31
If only we could have done it before, but the most important thing is that the new signing will be a reality after the medical test. Lets cross our fingers crossed for that deal to be realised amen.

I guess I'm always a sceptic when it comes to our transfers. News has come out that no delegation was sent to Germany. In fact, Dick Law is in Spain hoping to do a deal for Tello or Morata. Neither looking easy. Doesn't mean that someone else isn't in Germany for Draxler. But I'm fearful. As always.
