Wolfsburg playmaker Diego has opened the door to a potential move to the Emirates by confessing his admiration for the north London club, describing Arsenal as the perfect fit for him.
The hugely talented midfielder however also talked up the possibility of a switch to Premier League rivals Southampton.
Arsenal perfect
Diego told The Sun: “I know there is interest from Premier League clubs. I have heard Arsenal is one of them.
“It would be the ideal destination for me because their style suits my characteristics perfectly. Of course I would say yes to Arsenal.

Aaron Ramsey sealed the points for the Gunners with 5 minutes to go in Marseille after Walcott had been left unmarked at the far post to thrash home a searching cross – a goal that proved to be his last before injury.
The England winger suffered an abdominal injury before the next game at home to Stoke, and had not been used at all ahead of his 20 minute cameo against Southampton at the weekend.
Since that reverse fixture on the Continent, Arsenal have won 9 out of 14 games in all competitions, and now boast the 2nd best attack in the League as well as the 2nd best defence.

When the fixtures were first announced for this season, few would have predicted that this game would be a top of the table clash, as table-topping Arsenal take on this year’s surprise package Southampton at the Emirates this weekend.
While this fixture last year may have seen a resounding 6-1 victory for the Gunners over the Saints, a repeat of this score line looks very much off the table; and looking at how Southampton have performed against Manchester Untied and Liverpool this season, Arsenal will not be afforded the same luxury as last year.

After 2 months out with an abdominal injury, English attacker Theo Walcott is finally ready to return for the Gunners against his former club. Though many will say that we haven’t missed him due to now being two points clear at the top of the table, it is a welcome sight to have Theo back.

Most neutrals observing Arsenal’s transfer dealings this summer would hardly have batted an eye lid at the return of ex-midfielder Mathieu Flamini, unless of course they wanted to lambast Arsene Wenger continuous habit of not spending any money.
That habit is surely untrue though as Wenger signed Villarreal’s “Ronaldinho” in 2012 – Santi Cazorla’s nickname at the La Liga club. The Spanish midfielder actually moved to the Emirates from Malaga but it is his nickname at the club where he made his La Liga debut that brings a smile to most peoples faces.
“I like to smile. I try to bring happiness on and off the pitch,” says the Spaniard.
“I don’t understand how you play football without joy.” And when you watch Santi it is hard not to smile.

The transfer window is just over a month away and already we have rumours from so called ‘inside-men’, the latest came yesterday night on Spanish football show Punto Pelota as Francois Gallardo announced that Arsenal will try to raid Real Madrid again in January.
Mesut Ozil moved to north London during the last few days of the summer transfer window and ex-team mates Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane may join him if Arsene Wenger has his way.
Gallardo’s claims
This is according to Gallardo, who exclaimed: “An English team will try and strengthen in the winter by turning to Madrid to try to take two players of the Santiago Bernabeu.
