Brendan Rodgers further stirred the pot yesterday over the rumbling Suarez transfer situation by claiming "I always associated Arsenal with class" following our latest bid.
The Liverpool boss went onto reiterate that his prized asset was not for sale.
“I have to admit I was surprised by their bid of £40m and £1... I always associated Arsenal as a club with class,” he said with cutting incision.
“There may be playing a game there, but we will just move on and do our own work, and the message is constant: we do not want to sell.
“I think there will become a point when they will understand that. They have an interest and put that interest in with two bids that is nowhere near where what Luis would be worth. That is within their right, there is a market for players, but our message is constant.”
Arsenal in limbo
Whilst all the talk of Suarez handing in a transfer request and asking Liverpool to accept the offer remains just that: talk, we need to look at alternatives.
Surely it would make more sense to try and complete other business whilst waiting to see what the next development in this is, as the performances over the weekend highlighted we are far from the complete outfit.
