Numerous reports are coming from Italy claiming that Juventus striker Marco Vucinic has agreed to join Arsenal on loan.

The Montenegro forward had been rumoured to be on his way to the Emirates as back-up for lone-striker Olivier Giroud and could be offloaded by Juve as they look to bring in Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo.

A six-month loan deal is said to be on the cards with Vucinic the only party not to confirm the deal.

Done Deal?

He was bound for Inter Milan not long ago as part of a swap deal which would see Fredy Guarin go in the opposite direction. The Italian press had claimed that he had cleared out his locker at Juve and completed a medical before the deal was called off.

One in One out

Juve’s deal for Southampton’s Osvaldo is likely to go ahead with the Italian striker currently facing disciplinary action due to a training ground brawl with teammate Jose Fonte.

“We like Osvaldo and other clubs like him too,” commented Juve general manager Beppe Marotta this evening. “He is an excellent player, but before buying anyone we need to sell.

“Vucinic? He will leave only if he asks to go.”

There are just 2 days left of the January transfer window and deals will need to be done fast if they are to be done in time for the deadline on Friday night.
