It was reported yesterday that Arsenal had agreed a deal to bring Legia wonder kid Krystian Bielik to the Emirates.

This mini transfer saga seems to be coming to an end as it appears all has been agreed and finalised and Bielik is now set for a medical.

Both clubs had finally agreed on a fee and add-ons for the defensive midfielder:

“Discrepancies between the Legia request and offer of Arsenal were big. Legia wanted €2.5m plus €1m in bonuses, or €3m but no bonuses. Arsenal offered €1m plus €1m in bonuses.

As we were able to determine, the clubs reached an agreement.

On the English side however, all remained quiet bar Sky Sports claiming once or twice that the Gunners were still in talks with Legia.

Polish source Prezegla Sportowy has confirmed with sources of their own that Legia have sorted out a deal for Bielik, it’s now up to the player himself to agree a deal. They also revealed that German side Hamburg were said to be very interested in the player.

Now the financials, it’s been reported that Bielik will be earning around £104,000 a year with Arsenal. That’s roughly four times his wages in Poland. Not too shabby for a seventeen year old.

An announcement should be on the cards sooner rather than later. If the deal is just up to Bielik now, it’s almost guaranteed to go through following what he said last week:

"I've made a decision and I'm not going to change it. I am looking forward to an agreement between the heads of the clubs. I realise that the negotiations may take some time. I am, however, confident."

Looks like this transfer saga is very nearly at an end!
