Reports from France today are claiming that Arsenal could well find themselves in a bidding war with French side PSG over the transfer of Palermo’s Paulo Dybala.

Dybala has been linked with a number of clubs but Arsenal had seemed to be front runners for his signature for some time. According to these reports however, French champions PSG want to weigh in and try and capture the young Argentine.

Le10 Sport have reported today that PSG want to sign the forward to replace the outgoing Ezequiel Lavezzi. According to the French source, the Paris side had sent scouts out to watch the player and have been mightily impressed. PSG are yet to put a bid in for the forward but it has been reported they might not wait until summer to make a move for the Palermo star.

Dybala has been linked to Arsenal for some time but it seems now it would take a very large figure to sign the forward.

Dybala had been set for showdown talks with the Sicilian side this week; in order to outline a transfer fee for the forward however it is believed that Dybala has a buyout clause in his contract of around €40million.

Palermo will be happy to have PSG also interested in the striker as it means it can only increase the value of the youngster, meaning a nice little profit for the club.

I’m not sure if I see Dybala coming to the club I’m afraid, Wenger does like to sign young players, but never for such a high fee.

Plus, with PSG in the fray, a bidding war could start and no doubt Wenger would pull out over the fee. Too pricy in my eyes but I would like to be proved wrong and Arsenal to try and sign him.
