Amidst all the troubles that Jose Mourinho is looking to cause in order to prevent long-serving goalkeeper Petr Cech from moving across the city to Arsenal, the Gunners are still confident of rubberstamping the deal.

It was initially believed that a loan move for Wojciech Szczesny was on the cards to make room for the Chelsea shot-stopper, but fresh reports from Turkey state that David Ospina would be the one Arsene Wenger will sacrifice.

Haber Turk stated that an agreement was reached between the Gunners and Fenerbahce has been reached with the Turkish side willing to pay £5.5million to acquire his services.

They even went on to claim that Fenerbahce had offered £2.2million-a-year package to the Colombian to lure him to Sukru Saracoglu Stadium this summer.

There is nothing concrete on this transfer rumour, but the departure of the former Nice goalkeeper makes sense, even though it is highly unlikely that the Emirates Stadium club would want to offload him after him registering ten clean-sheets in twenty-three appearances.

If the transfer does come to fruition, Wojciech Szczesny will be used as the Petr Cech understudy given his unquestionable love for the club and Arsene Wenger alike.

Even though goalkeepers tend to play longer than outfield players, the Czech Republic international is already into his late stages of his footballing career and the Pole will be equipped with the nurturing from the 33-year-old when he takes over from the veteran in the upcoming years.
