John Terry all but confirmed the imminent capture of Petr Cech as he claimed that his teammate would save the Gunners up to fifteen points a season signaling the potential departure of either Wojciech Szczesny or David Ospina.

Given the meteoric rise in prominence of the Colombian international, he was believed to hold on to his role at the Emirates Stadium, but reports from Turkey stated that Fenerbahce had reached an agreement with the London outfit for his transfer.

Amidst the transfer rumours, the goal-keeper, while speaking to Turkish newspaper Sabah, admitted the uncertainty over his Arsenal future and vowed to concentrate wholly on the ongoing Copa America tournament and not betray his nation.

"They are dealing with my agent. At the moment, the only thoughts I have are for Colombia. I will not betray my team. I'm not in a position to think about a transfer. If I do, I will betray my teammates. My total concentration is on the national team."

David Ospina succeeded in ousting the Pole and he did so in style keeping eight clean-sheets in eighteen outings for the Emirates Stadium outfit. After his heroics last season, the 26-year-old will certainly not be entertained by the prospect of playing second fiddle to Petr Cech. Even though the Fenerbahce move can be deemed a step-down, regular playing time is certain to entice him.

On the other hand, 25-year-old Wojciech Szczesny would benefit from the arrival of the Czech Republic international as he would get the chance to learn the ins-and-outs of goalkeeping being the Petr Cech understudy before taking the goal over from him at the time of his retirement.
