Arsenal target Marco Reus has been mixing with former Gunners Thierry Henry and Cesc Fàbregas during a Puma event where they recorded a new advert together alongside AC Milan’s Mario Balotelli.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Emirates for a while, although presumably that interest has cooled as we look towards Julian Draxler instead.

That could be due too the fact that Reus stated he was happy at Dortmund at the start of the window but that shouldn’t rule out a move this summer.

Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Juventus forward Mirko Vučinić after the players agent met with Arsenal officials yesterday to discuss a possible move.

Well sourced journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has stated that Vučinić’s agent Alessandro Lucci met with one of Arsène Wenger’s assistants to discuss the transfer.

It is believed that Arsenal’s first proposal was a loan move but this doesn’t interest Juventus, according to Fabrizio Romano, and Arsenal will talk again on Monday to negotiate a permanent deal for the forward.

Vučinić’s agent will fly to London to meet Arsenal officials and thrash out a deal for his client.

It seems Arsenal and Chelsea aren’t only going head-to-head in the Premier League but in the transfer window too, and over two players.

Firstly The Times and Daily Star insist that Chelsea are set to bid for Brazilian-born Spanish resident Diego Costa.

The Times report that the Blues are ready to open preliminary discussions with Atlético Madrid over the 25-year-old ahead of a move in the summer, which could suit both parties.

Arsenal have joined a group of big European clubs in vying for the signature of Barcelona-B’s wonder kid Munir El Haddadi.

The Moroccan has attracted attention from the Gunners along with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, having made the move to the Spanish giants from fourth tier side Rayo Majadahonda in July, scoring 32 goals in just 29 appearances.

EL Haddadi is yet to put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with Barca, sparking rumours that he could follow in current Catalan star Cesc Fabregas in moving to England in search of top-level football.

Familiar Story

Fabregas moved to Arsenal in September 2003 after seeing his first team opportunities at the Nou Camp severely cut despite excelling in the youth sides. He made the breakthrough into the Gunners side and went on to captain the team under Arsene Wenger.

This weekend gives Arsenal the privilege they did not receive last weekend of playing before their respective title rivals. Excluding Manchester City, Arsenal’s match with Fulham will see them play before, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham giving them the chance to put the same pressure their rivals applied to them last weekend.

With Fulham flirting dangerously near the relegation zone, Arsene Wenger has highlighted the importance of beating the teams in the lower half of the division.

"That [beating the bottom-half sides] gives you consistency," Wenger said. "After that you want to make some special results against the direct contenders as well.

Arsenal have never lost to Fulham at home in any competition (W22, D5) and will be looking to continue that record and anything close to the reverse fixture that resulted in a 3-1 victory for the Arsenal will be welcomed by Arsenal fans all over.
