A £49million bid for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez is being prepared in an attempt to finally snatch the Liverpool player and end the saga which has gone on for over a month.

Twist…

Suarez had been adamant to leave Anfield, with the Uruguayan dominating the back pages with talk of a big money move away from the Reds. However a lack of competitive Premier League interest and only a laughable £25million valuation from Real Madrid left Arsenal as the sole team looking to gain his services.

Yet earlier on this week the seemingly safe assumption that Suarez would not be part of the Liverpool side next year came under threat, as reports claimed that the 26-year-old had performed the most unlikely of U-turns and was even considering a new contract at Anfield.

…and turn….

Quotes from trusted source, Latin American sports-man Martin Charquero, claimed that Suarez would indeed remain the Reds number 7:

“Luis Suarez confirms to me he will not leave Liverpool. The support of the fans has influenced his decision.” Charquero tweeted.

…and twist again.

You thought that was the end of it didn’t you? In a saga which has more twists and turns than your average ball of string, Suarez denied making the comment and therefore not ruling out the possibility of a move.

The £49million is bound to make Liverpool think seriously about selling. The player has failed to make it clear that he wants to stay and the fans’ reaction is largely one of disgust at the lack of respect he has shown the club which stood by him when, at times, they really shouldn’t have.

The £49million is also likely to be the last throw of the dice, with Wenger unlikely to breach the British transfer record.

If one is not happy wherever he is should be allowed to leave to where his heart is . Liverpool please accept to start walking alone

How can someone hate Arsenal for trying to buy a player who wants out of another club.

Nobody hates Arsenal. As a Liverpool fan I actually like your club. Its simple you want our player because it makes you stronger, we dont want to give your our player because it makes us weaker and makes you stronger. Whatever banter occurs between fans as this throughout this saga is just that. When this is over il go back to respecting Arsenal as ive always done. I wouldnt be happy with Wenger if I were you guys. Doesnt seem to have a transfer plan in place. You shouldnt even have been going for Gustavo, not good enough.

First Liverpool fan on the web with sense

Even if liverpool succeeded by keeping LS, that doesn't guarantee top four for them. And liverpool will still live in the shadow of arsenal.

Looooooooool comedy gold. Arsenal dont have a shadow

Short term if Liverpool hold on to Suarez it might be seen as a victory for them. But what is likely to happen when they try to sign another player? His agent will surely spell out the release clause or refuse to let his player sign.

What a ridiculous comment

Liverpool should be sunction with thier flish behaviour bcos when they were to buy suarez from ajax was he not on contract n they buy him out of dat so they should also do dat for arsenal for god sake.

Liverpool should know that, there is no one that is not for sale, just name your price. And the price will be paid. SO Liverpool should stop behaving like Bartiatus in spartacus movie.

pay whatever it takes to buy suarez(no choice now). As for gustavo ,choosing wolfsberg over arsenal shows he lacks ambition and foresight. what happens next year after the world cup is over ,gustavo will be stuck at midtable german team

Oh, and you're just embarrassing yourself AGAIN with this £49m bid.

Are Arsenal trying to troll Liverpool? Funny, but I'm not sure gambling your ability to finish in the top 4 for a joke is such a good idea.

"The £49million is bound to make Liverpool think seriously about selling"

I'm seriously beginning to wonder if Arsenal fans are retarded masochists?

I know this will fall on deaf ears, but Suarez isn't for sale and it would take and offer of more than £50m to change their mind. Also, and more importantly, Liverpool won't even entertain the idea of selling him to Arsenal, no matter what the price.

End of Story!

Can we all move on now? I'm guessing not...
#11 Trev 2013-08-15 10:41
Just give up on him and move on. We'll miss out on other strikers like we did Higuain at this rate.

they wont sell for 50 mil so why put a bid of 49mil in?..theres meeting tomorrow with suarez,e agent at anfield ive heard he will stay..even sign a new contract (from a good source) with it written in that he can move at the right price and if liverpool fail to make top 4...also more money..
#8 legrouch 2013-08-15 10:35
