Reports over the weekend suggested that Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger was interested in brining AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli to the Emirates because the 64-year-old believes he can “tame” the enigmatic footballer.

The Mail on Sunday were the first to report that Milan were looking to sell the former Manchester City striker two weeks ago and at the time they labeled the Gunners among possible suitors.

On Sunday, the Daily Mail’s Rob Shepherd revealed that Wenger was firmly interested in brining Balotelli to London for a £20 million deal alongside Queens Park Rangers Loic Remy.

There appears to be some conflicting news surrounding Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier, who at the end of the season was expected to move to the Emirates.

The Toulouse defender has enjoyed a stellar campaign in France and was expected to be a replacement for Bacary Sagna, who incidentally is set to join Manchester City.

Sagna to City

Sagna’s agent spoke about interest from Inter Milan and Galatasaray before revealing that the French defender will join Man City.

Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué has accidentally revealed that Cesc Fàbregas will be moving for a fee of €33 million, however the future club of the 27-year-old isn’t officially revealed yet; despite Chelsea being THE ONLY favourites.

Piqué was at a promotional event when he discussed the future of the international midfielder with Spain coach Vicente del Bosque. Unfortunately for the pair the conversation was picked up by one of the active TV microphones on the table.

Going… going… gone!

Barcelona defender and del Bosque, the conversation started with the Spain coach saying: “About Cesc…”

The Cesc Fàbregas transfer saga could be one that dominates the summer newspaper columns and while Spanish newspaper Marca believe the Barcelona man is looking to move back to London, it is unfortunately not with the Gunners.

Marca state that Fàbregas feels at home in London and would like to join a club competing in the Champions League next season, an aim that would appear to rule Manchester United out of the running.

Meanwhile, Frank Lampard’s departure from Stamford Bridge means the Spaniard could slot straight into his favoured central midfield position.

When it was announced that Cesc Fàbregas would be leaving the Camp Nou, it was safe to assume many Arsenal fans would have dreamed of the former Gunners captain returning to the club.

The 27-year-old was sensational during his previous spell and many of his goals and performances live long in the memory of Arsenal supporters.

However, although it seems certain the Spaniard will leave Barcelona. His next destination is anyone’s guess with it looking incredibly uncertain according to various reports.

Arsenal not interested?

Sky Sports La Liga expert Guillem Balague has been discussing the future of Fàbregas but has bad news for Arsenal fans, it seems.
