French international striker Loic Remy has been subject to an enquiry from the Gunners ahead of the much-anticipated opening of the summer transfer window.

The 27 year-old forward, owned by QPR and having spent last season on loan to Newcastle, has been linked with the Gunners for years.

But it was his appearance at the Emirates Stadium in May that indicated that he would be interested in signing for the North London outfit.

Top four fight out

Sky Sport sources revealed today that they understand Remy is courted by Premier League rivals Liverpool, who will be looking to go one better in their domestic campaign next season.

Now Arsenal have won the FA cup it is now time to focus our attention on this upcoming transfer window. This time the focus is on Cesc Fabregas which looks like there will be another transfer saga like last summer.

Fabregas is interesting Manchester United once again, however, it is public knowledge that Arsenal have clauses in the contract which saw Fabregas return to his boyhood club. Wenger spoke about this last summer and is quoted as saying “Fabregas has decided to stay one more year at Barcelona. Unless he has changed his mind. I don’t know. But that’s what I have been told. We have the clause in his contract so we would be on alert but at the moment that’s not something we are after.”

Arsenal are set to make their first summer signing in Ivory Coast international and Toulouse young right-back Serge Aurier.

With long-serving player Bacary Sagna leaving the club in wake of the club’s FA Cup triumph, the Gunners are keen to get a replacement in before the World Cup begins in June.

Silky Statistics

Aurier, 21, has been linked with Arsenal for months, his strong season in France turning heads of the biggest and best sides in Europe.

With more tackles (2.8) and interceptions (2.2) per game on average than Sagna (according to WhoScored.com), Wenger’s statistical mind would be keen on adding the young full-back to his revamped squad for next season.

There’s always one thing guaranteed with Arsenal and that is that we will do it the hard way and today was no difference.  Arsenal were 2-0 down within 9 minutes but they showed character and determination.

Cazorla scored a 25 yard free kick before Koscielny scored a 71st minute equaliser. The match was going to extra time which meant that Arsenal fans had to go through a nail biting 30 minutes however, Ramsey scored in the 110th minute which was ultimately the winner.

Arsenal go into their first FA Cup final in nine years with an almost fully fit squad, Theo Walcott the only player officially declared out of the running for the Wembley showpiece.

It is well known that the Gunners have gone nine years without a trophy, coincidently their most recent coming in this competition in 2005, after defeating Manchester United via a penalty shoot-out.

Crowning Glory

Arsène Wenger is quietly confident of an Arsenal triumph and is adamant that his side will do their talking on the pitch, not underestimating Hull City before the clash.
