The 5th Round of the FA Cup will draw to a close with a thrilling all-Premier-League clash between Arsenal and Liverpool on Sunday evening.
The two sides, who sit 2nd and 4th in the Premier League respectively, will come together at the Emirates in the hope of securing a spot in the quarter finals of the competition along with Saturday’s victors Sunderland, Wigan and Man City.
The Gunners’ route has seen them hardly break sweat against first Tottenham and then Coventry, wining the latter by 4 goals to nil late last month.
Liverpool have coasted similarly into the 5th round with 2-0 wins against Oldham and then Bournemouth.
The last meeting between the two sides was just last Saturday, when Arsene Wenger’s side were embarrassed 5-1 at Anfield thanks to 4 goals in the opening 20 minutes. Goals from Martin Skrtel, Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling made the difference against a lacklustre Arsenal.

Continuing the ever increasing German presence evolving at Arsenal, the London club are now reportedly interested in Maximilian Arnold.
The 19 year old German has been playing for Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, as well as the national under-21 side. He has played at every age group possible for Germany from Under 16s to Under 21s.
With a buy-out clause of close to £8m it remains to be seen whether Wenger would be willing to fork out that much money for a player who has only 14 appearances in the Bundesliga.

Two sides both disheartened by recent humblings will clash at the Emirates this Wednesday, in what could be a make or break game for both.
Title contenders Arsenal trudged home from Anfield after the 5-1 drubbing at the weekend while Champions League hopefuls Man United fell foul to a last minute equaliser to bottom side Fulham on Sunday.
The Gunners have fallen adrift from the frontrunners as Chelsea picked up a valuable 3 point to put them top, while City – despite a recent drop in form – also added to their tally.
United have been the butts of many jokes this season as the League holders have dropped down the table in a kamikaze style, but were on top at Old Trafford earlier this season when a Robin van Persie header was enough to separate the sides.

Some of the biggest sides in the Premier League, as well as some superstar European clubs, are believed to be readying offers for 30 year-old fullback Bacary Sagna.
Sagna’s contract with Arsenal finishes in the summer and there is yet to be a solution for the Frenchman, adding to the uncertainty of his future.
He has been at Arsenal since 2007 and has made the PFA Premier League Team of the Year twice.
Local Interest
Nearby rivals Chelsea are said to be preparing a shock bid for Sagna in an attempt to resolve their fullback problem.

Arsenal goalkeeper Lukas Fabianski has reportedly turned down the chance to renew his contract at the Gunners as he looks to leave a free agent at the end of the season.
With constantly being behind Szczesny in both Arsenal colours and Polish colours the shot stopper is looking to be no1 at a different club.
“With biggest respect to this great club, I didn’t accept the extension offer as I am looking forward to a new challenge in England or abroad.”
