With the suspension of Flamini and injuries to Aaron Ramsey and new signing Källström our midfield is starting to look quite stretched. With our only experienced option being Arteta and Chamberlain in the centre of midfield there were worries that Arteta might not be available for the game against Liverpool as he seemed hurt on Sunday.
All clear
However it is now clear that Arteta has recovered from whatever knock he picked up and is now available for the clash on Saturday.
Wenger simply stated:
“He is alright”

The transfer window may have slammed shut last Friday but that doesn’t prevent Arsenal being in the news regarding players who may join or exit the club in the summer.
Three players are involved in today’s reports and could be the start of a joke as we discuss an Englishman, German and Frenchman walking into a pub. Ok not a pub but maybe walking in or out of the Emirates.
More contract talks
The first involves France and Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna who is having fresh talks with the club over a new contract to try and keep him at the club.

Brand new Arsenal kit-makers could partly fund a huge deal to bring former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli to the Emirates.
Balotelli has hit top form in Serie ‘A’ since his move away from City at the end of last season, scoring 25 goals in 38 matches as Milan climb the table.
Understandably, the Italian giants have slapped a hefty price tag on the Italian forward, and fees in the region of £40million have been suggested as interest in the renowned troublemaker continues.

Even though the January transfer window ended largely as an anti-climax to most people, the murmurings surrounding the deals that did go ahead continues to rumble on, as well as speculation as to what could have happened in the final week of the window – and what we can expect in the summer.
One of the most bizarre transfers of the window – and of Arsene Wenger’s reign at Arsenal – has been the main spark of debate since the window slammed shut on Friday night.
And since then, yet more details have come out to support the evidence that Wenger could be going a bit senile, with the deadline day signing of injured Spartak Moscow benchwarmer Kim Kallstrom.

It is safe to say the signing of Kim Källström has certainly not been met with the same celebrations which Mesut Özil’s transfer received last summer.
To add to the obvious disparagement many rivals fans have aimed at Arsenal over this signing we have some interesting comments from Russian fans on our new signing.
Benchwarmer
Unfortunately they don’t exactly make pretty reading. Fans of the Russian club Spartak Moscow commented on the confirmation that Källström had moved to London.
