The injury status of Arsenal’s English double-act Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere has been the story on everyone’s lips this week, with Arsene Wenger adding fuel to the media fire by revealing that both will be fit for the Gunners’ game with Southampton this weekend.

Firstly, Wenger quelled any rumourings of his outrage directed at the Football Association surrounding the amount of game time accumulated by injury-prone midfielder Jack Wilshere over the International break.

Wilshere has not featured heavily for Arsenal recently in the Premier League due to the troublesome ankle injury that kept him sidelined for a lengthy spell last season. Allegedly, a deal was struck between the FA and Arsenal preventing the 21-year-old from playing in both games.

However, Wilshere did feature in both the 2-0 loss to Chile and the more recent 1-0 defeat to Germany at Wembley.

Schalke 04 wonderkid Julian Draxler has revealed there is no chance of him making the move away from Germany in January.

Draxler, who came on in the last half an hour at Wembley as his German side triumphed 1-0 over England, became the youngest Schalke player to make 100 appearances back in March, and already has 4 goals in his 18 appearances this season.

No winter move for Julian

He was a target for Arsenal in the summer, however any deal was scratched with the signing of Germany teammate Mesut Ozil for huge money on deadline day.

Two talented attackers have apparently snubbed Arsenal and other clubs interested in their services this week by committing their future to their parent teams.

Torino’s Alessio Cerci, who we revealed on Monday was being watched by a number of scouts, has played down speculation linking him with a move away from the Turin club.

The talented Italian revealed he hasn’t spoken to any other teams, he said:

“It’s not true. I haven’t spoken to anyone.”

Arsenal’s very own Serge Gnabry could be one of the many international players representing the club at the 2014 World Cup after it emerged that Germany coach Joachim Low will be keeping an eye on him with a view to including him in his World Cup squad.

Gnabry, just 18-years-old, has always been talked about as a player with huge potential and has taken his chance with the Gunners first team as Arsene Wenger’s contends with several injury problems.

The winger has only appeared for the German under-19 side but could earn himself a World Cup spot should he continue progressing throughout the season.

Arsenal have received an injury boost ahead of their clash with Southampton with the news that Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey have returning to full training and could be available against the South Coast flyers.

John Cross of the Mirror revealed that Walcott could face his former club after missing six weeks following a stomach problem.

Rambo back

Ramsey missed out on Wales’ international match on Saturday and Arsene Wenger was becoming concerned beforehand that he wouldl fail to exhaustion.
