Interests surrounding Karim Benzema are mounting as the Real Madrid striker only has one year remaining on his contract.

News coming out, is that Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger will assess the situation and wait until after the Champions League Final before putting forward any offer. Arsenal have been interested in Karim Benzema before, and with strengthening needed upfront for Arsenal, Benzema may just be the right solution.

It is of the understanding of Kike Marin that Arsenal have activated the buy-back clause in Carlos Vela’s contract. Kike Marin was one of the first journalists to break the Ozil deal and is fairly reliable with his coverage of Spanish football.

Kike tweeted “#Arsenal activate buyback clause of 4M EUROS for Vela...”

This would be a bargain of a deal as Vela has matured while at Real Sociedad and has started to score goals however; there will be reservations about if he can hack it in the Premier League.

News has emerged within the last couple of hours that Sagna is to leave Arsenal at the end of his contract. This will not come as a surprise but will come as a blow. This is the first time Sagna has commented on his future to europe1.fr and said the following;

“I am out of contract , as everyone knows. I still consider myself as an Arsenal player at present. But actually we had a small problem to agree [a new deal], and I do not think stay I’ll stay at Arsenal at the end of the season.”

Arsenal will be keen to maintain their four match unbeaten run in the league, keeping up momentum in their final day clash against the Canaries.

Also of key incentive will be keeping a clean sheet, with Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny one away from the coveted ‘Golden Glove’ for this season.

Rampant Recoveries

It feels somewhat bittersweet for Arsène Wenger to have a near fully fit squad ahead of the Sunday 3 o’clock kick-off.

Today came the announcement of Laurent Koscielny signing a new long term deal at Arsenal.  This has been rumoured for a couple of days but it is now official.

Koscielny told Arsenal.com "I am very proud to have reached agreement with the Club on a new contract. I have enjoyed four great years at Arsenal already, and I look forward to continuing to help the team in the years to come.”

The delight can be clearly seen by Arsene as well "Laurent has proven himself to be an outstanding player since joining us in 2010 and has showed his quality once again this season. I am delighted he has decided to commit his future to the Club.”
