Last night was surely the end of Arsenal title hopes, as they walked off to a round of boo’s that were fully deserved.

It was heart-breaking when the ball bounced off Flamini for an own goal and left everyone is the ground in disbelief. As the ball slowly went in all I could feel was that it has happened again, Arsenal had fallen away again.

Wenger’s failure to buy in January may cost us as a thin squad missing their 2 key players in Walcott and Ramsey and Wenger didn’t want to open up the kitty.

Now we are struggling to pick up points looking tired and looking like we will be battling for 4^th. I hope I’m wrong but it is a stark contrast from the first 5 months.

Reports emerged last night over the future of Olivier Giroud, agent Michael Manuello declaring that the player will be staying at the Gunners for the long-term.

Paper Talk

The comments come after rumours suggested that the 27 year-old would be seeking new pastures next season, after crunch talks with the manager. Reports claimed that Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Roma were all interested in signing the striker this summer.

Despite Arsène Wenger’s reservations on the forward’s future, Giroud’s representative is adamant that this is all paper talk and said:

The Daily Mail believe Arsenal will try to bring Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender to the Emirates after failing to sign the 24-year-old last summer.

Arsene Wenger and his backroom team have scouted Bender extensively, enough so that the German has left a lasting impression and Wenger believes his is the ideal player to add to Gunners midfielder.

Younger man needed

The 24-year-old is seen as the perfect player to complement the conveyor belt of attacking midfielders at the Emirates.

Bender was linked with a move to Arsenal last year and earlier this year it was muted that the Gunners were interested in him again.
