A thousand thanks Mr Wenger.  I have never been one of those who asked for your head and I’ve been toying with the idea whether I should write such a letter and express my feelings in the open.  However, out of love for my beloved Arsenal I decided to put pen to paper.

The buck has to stop with you the Board and to a certain extent, after the latest debacle, the playing staff.   As much as I do not have too much sympathy, to put it mildly, for the arrogant Mourinho, his recent mutterings have being quite correct.   To bag seventeen goals in just three games is not sheer coincidence but diabolical.   Besides, the team has been papering some obvious cracks on a number of other occasions throughout the season.

After Saturday’s dismal performance in the thrashing against Chelsea, Arsenal players will need to bounce straight back against a Swansea side which has struggled at times this season.

In what was quite simply an embarrassing performance by the Gunners, Arsenal have lost ground on the league leaders, and now look set to end up in a disappointing 4th place.

If Arsenal are to have any hope of trying to compete for the league still this season, then Tuesday night’s match against Swansea City will have to be the start of a win streak with performances that match a top side.

After the Gunners’ previous humiliations defeat this season at the hands of Manchester City and Liverpool, Arsenal have responded with goalless draws; let’s hope they can go one better this time.

Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere took the icy pressure off Arsène Wenger today, revealing his drastic measures to get fit in time for the final few games of the season.

PICTURE PERFECT

Taking to his Twitter page, the 22 year-old Englishman published a topless photo of himself preparing before a 12-minute session of ‘Chryotherapy’.

Using freezing temperatures of, in Wilshere’s case, around - 100°, the method is aimed at speeding recovery from soft tissue injuries, as well as decreasing pain and inflammation of muscles.

Social media exploded last night after rumours emerged that Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger may be ready to walk away from the club. The reports come after Wenger’s 1000th game in charge of the Gunners resulted in a 6-0 demolition to the hands of rivals Chelsea and Josè Mourinho.

Sources revealed that the Arsenal board and Wenger himself had a 2-hour lockdown meeting on Sunday morning, the news catching onto other keen bloggers around the world.

Media lockdown

A complete media lockdown from Arsenal Football Club in the wake of the defeat also gave evidence to suggest that not all was rosy in the red half of North London. The official club Twitter account was silent the entirety of Sunday, while the website only published limited Wenger quotes following the game.

Chuba Akpom has been recalled from his loan at Coventry City and has been placed in Arsenal’s match day squad against Swansea.

It is unclear at the moment to know if he will be starting but rumour has it he will be Arsenal’s back-up striker until the end of the season and this comes after Bendtner’s actions in Copenhagen which means he has probably played his last game for the club.

Akpom has proven his goal scoring capabilities at U21 level by consistently finding the back of the net. 18 years old and he could be chucked right into the action. Akpom has all the main skills needed to be leading centre forward. Akpom possesses attributes such as pace, strength and determination.
