Monday night’s performance sparked criticism from many Arsenal fans which was evident on Andy Goldstein’s Sports Bar Show. One of the major debates to arise is Wenger persistence with playing Ramsey on the right wing so that Cazorla can play centrally.
Although, this formation worked at the back end of last season and was successful when Arsenal kept winning consecutively it now seems that it has become a problem due to it becoming predictable. Recently on Monday night football Jaime Carragher analysed the two players and commented that Ramsey works on the right hand side because he helps Bellerin at right back but then come in field to join up the play but this has now become a weakness in this Arsenal side.

It is no brainer that Arsenal need striker reinforcements as they only have Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott at their disposal, but ranging from Jackson Martinez to Fernando Llorente, all their transfer targets have gone out of reach, leaving only three strikers of Arsenal standards to choose from.
- Karim Benzema
Arsenal have been linked to the Real Madrid marksman since the transfer window opened and even though every now and then reports suggested that the Gunners were closing in on a deal for him, either party have denied such claims. Emanuele Giulianelli yesterday added fuel to the fire with a tweet stating that the French striker would fancy playing under compatriot Arsene Wenger.
Karim Benzema may cost the Gunners a little more than what they had shelled out for Mesut Ozil and given his prolificacy with club and country, such a hefty price tag can well be justified.

1- The goalkeeper
Petr Cech. During the last few months, every pundit imaginable has been saying how much of a difference Cech could make at Arsenal. The point might be made too often, but it doesn’t mean it is any less significant. With Arsenal having their best keeper since David Seaman, defensive stability is bound to follow.
2- No World Cup hangover
Arsenal started last season with 3 players who had won the World Cup, along with several others who spent most of their summer break playing international football in another continent. It is no coincidence that Arsenal struggled at the start of the season, while Chelsea began to run away with the league in August, with a core of Terry, Matic, Fabregas and Costa. None of those players had a full game during the World Cup.

On Sunday Arsenal clinched the Community Shield with an impressive 1-0 victory over last season’s champions Chelsea. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain provided the winning goal with a sumptuous effort beyond Thibaut Courtois into the top left corner of the net. It is flashes of quality like this from the 21 year old that have Arsenal fans pleading he has a clean bill of health in 2015/16, as well as a higher level of consistency when he does get on the pitch.
Jack Wilshere also finds himself in a similar position as the start of a new season draws closer. Although Wilshere was not a part of the Arsenal squad yesterday due to a small injury, he has enjoyed a fruitful pre-season and should be available for the opening game of the season against West Ham United.
Like Chamberlain, Wilshere had an injury hit 2014/15 season, and both missed large chunks of the season and when they were fit, the pair failed to nail down a regular spot in the starting eleven. It is clear that the English duo are special young talents with boundless potential, but are yet to find the consistency that will take them into the Arsenal first team and the elite band of modern footballers.
