After his heroics towards the end of the transfer window, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is set to agree a new deal to keep him with Arsenal for the foreseeable future.

The Frenchman was under intense scrutiny after his lack of marquee signing during the summer and then an opening day defeat to Aston Villa where there were calls for the 63-year-old to be replaced. However due to a string of good results including progression into the group stages of the Champions League and victory in the North London Derby, Wenger has won back the hearts of the Emirates faithful.

As the international break sees numerous Arsenal men donning the strip of their home nations rather than the red of the Gunners, the big news doesn’t stop streaming through the Emirates gates despite transfer deadline day ending on the 2nd September.
Ousted Ozil
Firstly, yet more reaction on the sale of Mesut Ozil to Arsenal is flooding in from the biggest names in the European game. After news broke of the world’s biggest superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s disgust of the sale of Ozil, countryman Jurgen Klopp has also expressed his confusion.
"I do not care which player will play against us in the UEFA Champions League," Klopp said.

Numerous Arsenal players have piled praise on deadline day signing Mesut Ozil.
The players themselves had pleaded with Wenger to spend the well publicised budget made available by the Arsenal Board this summer, which went untouched throughout the majority of the window.
However after the Frenchman pulled off the sensational last minute swipe for the German, the men who will be sharing the Emirates pitch with Ozil this season have spoken of their excitement to have the 24-year-old on board.
