As the clock ticks towards the deadline it looks like Arsenal will be busy especially allowing players to leave. Gnabry and Chambers are the next two to leave after Wilshere potentially. Wenger in his press conference last week confirmed that Chambers would be allowed to leave especially considering the squad size.

News broke around 10.30PM on Monday that Jack Wilshere would be allowed to leave Arsenal in order to regain fitness and play games. This will be allowed to happen as he is currently sixth choice.

Arsenal are closing in on the signings of Lucas Perez who plays for Deportivo La Coruna and Shkodran Mustafi who plays for Valencia. This news was broken by the reliable David Ornstein who works for the BBC.

Shkodran Mustafi will undergo his Arsenal medical on Monday in the event of Arsenal agreeing on a fee of about £25.9million on Friday, La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Emanuele Giulianelli reports.

The German international missed training because of a muscle strain, which is seen as a hindrance to the deal. However, Arsenal are ready to launch a formal bid if the injury proves a minor concern.

Arsenal are hoping to complete a deal for either Shkodran Mustafi or Jonny Evans before their Premier League campaign commences on Sunday against Liverpool, according to Adrian Kajumba of the Mirror.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with both defenders all summer, but it seemed as though they had ended their interest at one point. However, Gabriel Paulista’s injury – an injury that could keep him out of action for long – has forced them to rekindle their interest. With skipper Per Mertesacker pencilled in to return only in January 2017, Arsenal can be expected to make moves in the coming days.
