According to reports from the Daily Express, Premier League giants Arsenal have already started preparing for life after Arsene Wenger.

There is no doubting the fact that Arsene Wenger has been a wonderful servant for Arsenal since his arrival to North London from Japanese outfit Nagoya Grampus Eight during the summer of 1996.

In his 20 years at Arsenal, Wenger has managed to completely revolutionize the club into a major superpower in European football and the Frenchman will surely go down in history as one of the greatest ever managers in the history of the game.

While Wenger’s achievements at Arsenal are unquestionable, there has been a sense of discontentment brewing among a section of the club faithful over the course of the past few seasons due to the Gunners consistently falling short in their pursuit to claim the Premier League title.

Arsenal kick off their Champions League campaign for the season tonight away in Paris as they face up against a strong Paris Saint Germain side.

Arsene Wenger’s men have an  immaculate record in the Champions’ League group stage having progressed for 16 consecutive seasons. As well as PSG, the Gunners will face Swiss champions FC Basel and Bulgarian champions Ludogorets.

Of course there are no easy games in Europe’s elite competition but Arsenal will expected to    qualify from the group. However, the Gunners should have their sights set on topping the group which is achievable.

Jack Wilshere has joined AFC Bournemouth on a season long loan. The interest was first reported last night after Wilshere and his representatives met the Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe yesterday in London.

Serge Gnabry has left Arsenal to join Bundesliga club Werder Bremen. This comes after intense speculation linking him to a move to Bayern Munich.

Gnabry joins Bremen for a fee believed to be around £5.1m. Arsenal were reluctant to let Gnabry leave but with only a year left on his contract Wenger has decided to sell. Gnabry has been in excellent form with the German Olympic team which had alerted all Bundesliga clubs.

As mentioned yesterday Jack Wilshere will be allowed to leave Arsenal on a season long loan.  According to various media outlets there were around 21 offers for the England midfielder.

Last night Sky Sports News HQ reported that there were five offers on the table which were Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Watford, Sporting and Benfica. However, it was understood this morning that it was between Palace and Bournemouth.
