Although the champions league has had bad results come in for the English clubs so far with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United all losing 2-0 to their respected teams, Arsenal may see some positives.

Although Arsenal have had some difficulties against Man United, on-loan striker Joel Campbell did wonders for his team Olympiacos to secure a 2-0 home advantage.

The striker on-loan secured his team a  2-0 result with a wonderful long distance shot which curled into the bottom corner to further dampen the poor run of form that Manchester United have shown.

It is clear to see that this year’s title race is going right down to the wire. Arsenal are one point off Chelsea and two points ahead of Manchester City although they have a game in hand.

There have been plenty of pundits stating that Arsenal can’t win the Premier League but they have a fair chance as they have come all of this way.

Last week I had Talksport on the radio and heard Jason Cundy say Arsenal were lucky to be in the title race and they had an easy start which one fan argued that every team has played each other once.

After Saturday's 4-1 demolition of Sunderland, it seems Jack Wilshere has been reflective of the team's performance over the weekend and last Wednesday against Bayern.

"Against Bayern, we were on top for the first 20 minutes and had a great chance to score but didn’t, so we wanted to continue that [against Sunderland], stay high and win the ball back.

Once we won the ball back in their half, we always looked dangerous."

Improvement needed

He was also quick to state that the Gunners need to improve and that he wishes to see the team pressing high up the pitch like Barcelona and Real Madrid:

So after the weekends great result, word has come out from Wenger that "Tomas Rosicky will stay".

After seeing one of the best team goals in the league this year, along with Jack Wilshere's, news is coming out that Arsenal and Rosicky have agreed a deal for him to stay with the club.

Wenger has said:

Yesterday, saw the return of the Premier League and an Arsenal win however, there were a few injury concerns.

Nacho Monreal got replaced at half time which Arsene Wenger says was a kick to the ankle. Monreal was replaced by Carl Jenkinson which meant Bacary Sagna went to left back.

However, on the 67th minute Laurent Koscienly had to go off with a back problem which meant another re-shuffle at the back with Sagna going to centre back.
