Tomorrow is the return of the Champions league which will see Arsenal come up against Monaco.

Arsenal have no new injury worries but Jack Wilshere is looking very unlikely to be involved tomorrow.

Wenger confirmed this at his pre-match press conference but there is not an injury setback. It is believed to just be a rest as Wilshere has put a lot of hard work in to return this early.

Jose Mourinho gave credit to Arsene Wenger today on Goals on Sunday and stated that Wenger has the dream job and is the envy of every manager.

Mourinho was pressed on his relationship with Wenger, “He’s a fantastic manager but I think he has a fantastic situation to be successful.”

An air of optimism surrounds Emirates Stadium this season as Arsenal have not suffered a defeat there, except for their defeats to Manchester United and Southampton. They are also in an impressive run of form as of late, having registered seven victories in eight games notching up twenty goals in the process.

In an interview with the Sun, Theo Walcott revealed that Alexis Sanchez is an inspirational figure in the dressing room as he urges his teammates not just to pull off victories against Monaco, but to dethrone Real Madrid as the kings of Europe.

Jack Wilshere uploaded his picture in a training kit to Instagram on Friday afternoon with a message to his followers stating that he is delighted to be back on the pitch after a lengthy injury layoff.

“Think it’s fair to say I’m happy to be back.”

Olivier Giroud had his share of time on the sidelines due to injuries, but his rapid recovery from injury seems to have made him a better version of himself as he notches up goals on a regular basis as of late.

However, despite his striking goal-scoring form, Arsene Wenger believes his compatriot can further increase the frequency of goals stating that his name can well be found in scorecards of every game that he features.
