According to reports today, Spanish side Athletic club Bilbao have made contact about a possible move for Arsenal’s left back Nacho Monreal.
Bilbao have gone through several windows, losing their top players like Llorente. This window however they seem to have their eyes set on a new defender, with the Gunners left back being top of the wish list.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are in for a fight if they want to sign Ipswich Town’s Tyrone Mings.
Mings has been linked with Arsenal and other Premier League top clubs for some time now, with no bid seeming to be received by Mick Mc Carthy’s side. These fresh reports from the Daily Mail however have hinted that it could be even harder for Arsenal to sign the defender, with Newcastle United said to be interested in him too.

According to reports today, Arsenal are set to just miss out on the signing of Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva as he seemed destined for a move to the Bernabeu with Real Madrid.
Silva is highly rated by Wenger and was on the manager’s wish list for some time, but it seems the La Liga champions are going to beat the Gunners to the punch.
The midfielder has been headhunted by the Spanish side as a possible replacement for Xabi Alonso who left for Bayern Munich in the summer.

Spanish newspaper Marca is claiming today that Gabriel Paulista is on the verge of signing for the Gunners. According to the source, the Villarreal defender is on his way to North London. Paulista has noted before that it is his “dream” to play in the Premier League for Arsenal. It seems that negotiations are going well and a fee is soon to be agreed and then all it depends on is the work permit being accepted for the player.
Wenger himself had confirmed earlier that the deal is close, stating the fee is around €20million (£15million).

According to The Metro, Arsenal are demanding around £12million for their right back, Carl Jenkinson. This news was also reported on yesterday however new details have come out about the transfer fee.
It appeared that Arsenal were asking for over £10million for the defender, a fee West Ham would struggle to afford, and it has now become clear that West Ham are only willing to reach a fee of around £6million for the 22-year old.
