Arsenal's quest to finish in the top 4 is likely to be one fraught with tight matches and frayed nerves. So we should all relish those occasions where the team put on a professional display, and get a routine 3 points. The win over a moribund Reading side makes it 15 points from the last 18 for the Gunners.
Lukasz Fabianski - 7 – Had little to do, but was never less than solid. Made a decent save from Alex Pearce in the second-half.
Bacary Sagna - 7 – A solid comeback from injury. Always comfortable in defence, and augmented the attack nicely when coming forward.

On what was a battered playing surface in Lake Como, Arsenal's youngsters put up a brave fight, that was desperately ended late on in extra time.
Arsenal's Next Gen experience doesn't end there as the subsequent result, puts the Gunners in a third place play-off on Sunday.
Excuses, Excuses...
It will be hugely disappointing for the youngsters of Arsenal, but they should take lots positives from the loss.

Beating Swansea 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium needs to be contextualised by the following. We came off a midweek away Champions League match – something that even the great Wenger sides struggled with.
Swansea have only lost twice at home (in all competitions) this season. Well, make that thrice.
Lukasz Fabianski - 7 – Followed up his strong performance in midweek with another solid outing. There was one moment of alarm when he came & missed a Swansea corner, but otherwise acquitted himself competently.

It’s always nice to win, it’s nicer to keep a clean sheet, it’s even nicer to win away, and it’s especially nice to beat a team often touted as an up-and-coming successor to your style of football.

It was deja vu for Arsenal in the Champions League, as a redoubtable 2nd leg result almost overturned a seemingly insurmountable deficit, ultimately ending with elimination from the competition, but one that comes with pride salvaged.
Lukasz Fabianski - 7 – An impressive outing on his first game of the season. Bar a couple of ropey kicks, he was unruffled in between the sticks. Dealt with crosses with aplomb, and made a superb save from Arjen Robben to keep the contest alive.
