Luis Suarez has refused to talk about his future whilst away on international duty in Japan with Uruguay. Despite his ‘foot injury’ that ruled him out of Liverpool’s pre season plans, he still travelled with his national teammates. Suarez has also further asked that his coach and the Uruguayan FA refuse any questions on the matter.

It is clear the Liverpool forward is still keen to push forward a move to Arsenal otherwise he would have declared his intentions to apologize to the club after Brendan Rogers latest comments.

Theo Walcott

News broke on Monday evening that Theo Walcott had suffered an ankle knock that may cause him to miss the start of the new season. Walcott had to be assisted off of the pitch by team mates causing serious doubts about his availability for Arsenal’s opener with Aston Villa this Saturday.

However Roy Hodgson has relayed Arsenal and England fans fears by stating the injury was nothing but a minor knock and was taken away from training as a precaution.

Brazilian midfielder Luiz Gustavo looks certain to leave after host club Bayern confirmed he had received offers from across Europe, and the man himself flirted with the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger is said to value the Brazil international at around £14million in an attempt to provide back-up for Mikel Arteta, however the German and European champions are reportedly clinging on for a £17million bid.

Time to buy

Gustavo, who has 10 international appearances for Brazil under his belt – including the 2013 Confederations Cup final – publicly stated his admiration of English football and Arsenal in particular:

Arsenal of Late seem to dominate the summer headlines in 2011 we had the Fabregas & Nasri affair, in 2012 we had Persiegate, this summer we have the never ending tale of Luis Suarez. Nice for a change we’re not the one dealing with the player agitating for a move though Gooners isn’t it?

The latest story run by Sky Sports as of today is:

“Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has 'no plans' to apologise as transfer saga continues”

After the aggravation of last year with “He Who Must Not Be Named“ ( I nearly crashed my car when I heard the transfer announced on the radio on the way home from work) I find it hard not to feel for Liverpool as they are in a far worse position than we were before we had our battle against the many headed adversary of any club “Player Power”.

Following from yesterday’s news that Arsenal had a £14m bid for Luiz Gustavo accepted we have an update for you based on today’s round of articles.

The Express goes with Arsenal having submitted a £18 million pound bid. They also run with Ian Holloway calling Arsenal fools for snubbing Chamakh his chances and Arsene’s make or break season basically re-hashing much of Alan Smiths comments.
