The 2014 summer transfer window is closed and Arsenal have made some decent acquisitions.
Arsenal bought five players in which all have quality to take this team forward. The signings are as everybody knows Sanchez, Debuchy, Chambers, Ospina and deadline day signing Welbeck.
In total Arsenal spent £82 million and received £25.7 meaning they spent £56.3 net. Which shows they spent money and were 2nd across Europe for net spend. This shows significant improvement.
The transfer window was good for most parts which I would rate a solid 7 out of 10 Sanchez has shown glimpses of quality and looks like he will find the back of the net as well as creating.

After a long and tedious transfer deadline day, England international Danny Welbeck has signed for the Arsenal from Manchester United on a 5 year long deal. Arsenal had to ask the FA for an extension on deadline day to get the deal over the line.
He joins Arsenal for an undisclosed amount rumoured to be around the £16 million region. Welbeck joins Wilshere, Gibbs, Chambers, Walcott, Ramsey and Oxlade-Chamberlain to build on Arsenal British core.

The annoyance of being an Arsenal fan is huge because a variety of factors. In the Arsenal fan camp on twitter, reading all the messages sent out, Arsenal fans are split on the signing of Danny Welbeck with the majority quite underwhelmed with him supposedly joining the Emirates.
4th place finish all over again?
Signings don’t happen in a day. There is a lot of planning that goes into a particular signing. For the money that Arsenal fans pump into the club, the signing of Danny Welbeck is not what Gooners deserve.

It has come to fruition the last hour that Arsenal have had a bid for William Carvalho rejected which means that negotiations may come to an end.
This was reported by Portuguese journalist Goncal Lopes he tweeted;
“Arsenal made a late offer for William Carvalho. Too short.”

It is the understanding of Sky Sources that Danny Welbeck is currently undergoing a medical.
The nature of the deal is unknown but the story first come to fruition through James Olley of the Evening Standard.
