Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, manager Arsene Wenger has brushed aside questions regarding his long term future at the Emirates Stadium.

Few can argue with the fact that Arsene Wenger has conducted a fantastic job at Arsenal since his arrival to the club back in 1996 and in his twenty year long stay in North London, the Frenchman has had a huge hand in turning the Gunners into the European superpowers they are today.

Wenger is currently in the final year of his deal at Arsenal though and it is now widely believed that the 67-year-old will finally be stepping down from his role as manager of the club at the end of the current campaign.

Writing in his column for the Daily Mirror (via the Daily Mail), Robbie Fowler has explained that Arsenal will not be able to win the title this season if the contract negotiations with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez drags on.

Having enjoyed such a fine start, Arsenal clearly have had a lot to be very happy about so far this season but a constant source of worry for the Gunners’ faithful has been the club’s inability to come to an agreement over the contract extensions for star duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

Both Ozil and Sanchez’s contracts at the Emirates Stadium is set to expire in 2018 and with only 18 months remaining, Arsenal understandably want their two star players to put pen to paper on new deals as soon as possible.

Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey has stated his belief that Arsenal stand a very good chance of claiming the Premier League title this season.

Arsenal head into every Premier League season with a sense of optimism that they will win the Premier League title but due to the Gunners’ inability to do so over the past decade as well as the high level of competition in the English top flight this season, the North London giants would have approached the current campaign with hope rather than expectations.

As it has turned out though, Arsenal have enjoyed a stunning campaign so far following a shock opening day defeat at the hands of Liverpool and the Gunners are most certainly genuine contenders to claim the Premier League crown this term.

Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, defender Carl Jenkinson has expressed his happiness at Jack Wilshere earning regular first team football at Bournemouth.

Jack Wilshere is undoubtedly an extremely talented midfielder but persistent injury problems had limited the Englishman to only 5 appearances over the course of the last two seasons and his development has certainly been hampered as a result.

Due to his constant fitness issues, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could not guarantee Wilshere regular first team football ahead of the current campaign and as a result, the 24-year-old made a brave decision to leave the Emirates Stadium by joining Bournemouth on a season long loan deal this summer.

Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has gone on to hail teammate Alexis Sanchez just days after Alan Shearer’s claims that the Chilean international is not ‘world-class’.

Sanchez has been in electric form ever since joining Arsenal from Barcelona during the summer of 2014 and the Chilean superstar has been sensational during the current campaign as well, already scoring an impressive 11 goals in just 14 Premier League appearances.

Recently, Sanchez put a hapless West Ham United side to the sword by scoring a stunning hat-trick in a 5-1 victory for Arsenal but despite his wonderful performance during the encounter, ex-Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer refused to acknowledge the 27-year-old as a ‘world class’ player.
